In Kenya, education often comes at a cost many families can’t afford, leaving large portions of the population with limited access to schooling and fewer pathways to economic mobility. Against this backdrop, the story we told focuses on the stakes behind opportunity—where both education and athletic talent become viable routes out of generational poverty. At Transcend Talent Academy, an arm of the Kenyan Kids Foundation, young athletes are trained not only to compete at a high level in distance running but to excel in the classroom.
